Retirement Home Donations
Bickel has a special opportunity to "adopt" the Twin Falls Care Center for the duration of the 2016-2017 school year. Doing this will provide the students with opportunities to reach out to the community, make new friends, and learn about empathy. Bridging generational gap(s) teaches so many valuable life lessons, and we are looking forward to our students getting to know the residents of the nursing home.
With the Christmas season fast approaching, we thought it would be nice to provide a small gift to each of the residents (approximately 70). The director of the facility offered suggestions for donations. If you are able to provide any of these items, please send them to school with your child by Tuesday, December 13th.
Donation Suggestions:
- Lotion
- Warm socks
- Non-skid slippers
- Lap blankets
- Candy, sugar-free candy (store bought)
- Cookies, gum, snacks (store bought)
- Lip balm
- Puzzle books (crossword puzzles, word searches, etc.)
- Playing cards
- Combs/brushes
- Stuffed animals
- Figurines
- **Anything else you think would be a caring gift**
